The single-family home in Bucharest has developed in several forms along with the expansion of the city limits, gaining numerous personal meanings. Thus, prioritizing the garden and the intimate space have been considered as some of the most important aspects related to user comfort. We have proposed a narrow house that benefits from an optimal orientation towards the SE and a balanced spatial conformation by vertically delimiting the living area from the resting area. The most important role, around which the functional house pivots, is played by the staircase. By positioning it in the center and attaching it to one side, a spacious and flexible space was obtained. It connects the ground floor where the common areas are found with the first floor where two bedrooms with their adjacent spaces are located. The treatment of the interior spaces is marked by the use of neutral, pastel tones that allow the staircase to be one of the first attractions of the house. With its seemingly delicate geometry, it outlines a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The warmth of the interior atmosphere is also intensified by wooden accents due to the visibly exposed wooden structure.
