Over the years, the city of Bucharest has acquired a heterogeneous and contrasting image, with streets lined with curtain blocks behind which entire islands of small houses have remained frozen in time. In this context, our intervention seeks to create a smoother transition between the two contrasting fabrics represented by the block between blocks. It integrates humbly, withdrawn on the irregular plot behind the block, undisturbing the place. The planimetric configuration is marked by the arrangement of 2 apartments on each of the 4 levels and the attachment of the stairs node to the facade. This has allowed the illumination of the stairs node and the creation of a more pleasant indoor-outdoor transition space. The play of the apartments vertically gives a playful character to the facade, especially noticeable due to the loggias' recesses that overlook the intersection. The last 2 recessed floors propose a type of urban living that approaches the comfort of living in a house, benefiting from an extended terrace and a higher degree of intimacy. The interior of the apartments meets contemporary comfort needs and creates a harmonious, bright, and airy atmosphere.
